Combination of plate and clamp will let you use Manfrotto head with any arca swiss equipment. Manfrotto MVH502AH head represents an advance over the popular 501HDV, with sturdier construction and featuring Manfrotto's patented bridging technology. Manfrotto MVH502 uses Manfrotto clamping system. Arca-swiss plate fans can now bypass this and use MVH502 with Arca type plates and L brackets. Clamps can be positioned in relation to adapter plate in 90-degree increments to make it convenient for everybody. See drawinf photo for mount hole spacing and size. It is the best quick release system for tripods and monopods. An adapter plate is attached to Manfrotto head with the same 4 screws as original top mounting plate.
