1) What clamps will your plates work with?Due to variations in the Arca-Swiss standard (a nice standard—if anyone followed it), it's hard to guarantee compatibility across all brands. I’ve tested my plates with the following clamps:
If your brand isn’t listed, it doesn’t mean it won’t work. I offer a full refund including shipping if it doesn’t. If it does work, please let me know and I’ll add it to the compatibility list. 2) Which brands of plates will your clamps accept? This is tricky. Some plates—even from the same manufacturer—are smaller and may not be held securely. My clamps accept plates with an outside width of approximately 1.5 inches. 3) Why are your plates less expensive than big-name brands? No distributors. No retail chains. No sales teams, rallies, parties, or “employee of the month” contests. No corporate meetings, stocks, options, or employees. No headaches. No advertising costs. My sales come from word-of-mouth by satisfied customers. You’re dealing directly with me—no markup. I don’t buy every new camera to design parts. I collaborate with customers who already own the gear. They provide the info I need and help test compatibility. This keeps costs low and ensures they get exactly what they need. 4) Are the plates any good if they’re so cheap?Check my eBay feedback. If you don’t like the product or it doesn’t work for you, I’ll accept it back for a full refund—no questions asked. 5) How much time do you need for custom work?If you need a plate not listed in my store, I can make it. I just need your input. Design and machining take time, and anodizing adds another week or two. Expect 45–60 days for a custom project. 6) How much does custom work cost?It depends on what needs to be done. With your input, we’ll design the part and I’ll quote you. If the product can serve other customers, I’ll produce more—and you’ll only pay for the item, not the custom work. Typical plates and rails cost around $50. If you need a custom setup—like a Leica M8 with an 800mm lens and a 24-inch rail—I may charge up to $300. 7) Return PolicyIf you’re not completely satisfied, return the item within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange. Items older than 30 days won’t be accepted. I’ll refund the full amount except return shipping—unless we arrange otherwise. 8) Liability DisclaimerBy placing an order, the customer acknowledges and agrees that the acceptance and/or use of any Hejnar Photo merchandise releases Hejnar Photo from all liability arising from or related to the use of such merchandise. |
